Porfirio Díaz, perhaps the most controversial of the protagonists in the history of Mexico, both for the chiaroscuros of his government, and for his strong and popular personality for being a hero of the war against the second French intervention. The same character who managed to pacify a country hit incessantly by internal conflicts and foreign interventions throughout the 19th century, and introduce progress, achieve a historic financial surplus and the recognition of our country among the international community, was the same person whose way of implementing the policy caused Mexican society to pay a high cost in terms of social justice, which finally led this same society to launch into one of the first authentic revolutions of the 20th century. This story based on historical data shows us a Porfirio Díaz camouflaged with the presidential Institution, with ambition and will for power and scheming to maintain it at all costs, in an interpretation worthy of Nicolás Machiavelli's The Prince.
