Abstract

Monster, Human, I is a science-fiction story featuring Félix—also called Nyx—a young man able to transform his body who, after years of captivity and experimentation, joins a human Resistance against an alien civilization that treats humans as objects of entertainment. During an infiltration mission he is captured and, sedated, faces the temptation to give up. The memory of his friend Ash and of María, the leader at his side, leads him to choose life and freedom, to transform once more, and to recognize himself beyond the label of “monster”.
