What would the reality of Mexico and of each of its inhabitants be if, from school and any social sphere, knowing philosophy had greater acceptance and impulse?

Abstract

This text describes a general overview of the difficult situation that philosophy is currently going through in Mexico (especially in the academic and formative fields), plus offering reasons in favor of the importance of promoting and developing this discipline. Thus, this essay addresses the following topics: 1) the negative conception of philosophy in Mexico during the last decades; 2) the capitalist system as the origin of this misconception; and 3) advantages that the promotion of philosophy in Mexico would represent.
